# Tasks

> One conversation, one active run, and the files that belong to it.

A **task** is a chat. Open **Tasks** in the sidebar for the full list, or use **Recent tasks** in the sidebar.

## What a task contains

* your messages and the assistant replies
* streamed text while a run is live
* tool cards (prompt, status, output image)
* uploads and generated files for that task only

On a specific task page, the folder control opens **All files in this task** — uploads and generated assets for that chat.

## One run at a time

Each chat has one active turn. A second send returns an error until the run completes, fails, is cancelled, or you stop it.

Refresh or switch chats and the active run resumes from Postgres. If the live Trigger stream drops, the UI polls run status.

## Favorites and search

Pin a task from the task list. Search in the sidebar filters your tasks by title and text.
