# Do you have an API?

> Public REST and MCP use the same gxk_live_ keys.

Yes. Galaxy has a public API and an MCP server.

Create a key in **Settings → API Keys**. Send it as `Authorization: Bearer gxk_live_…`. Session cookies are not accepted on `/api/v1` or `/api/mcp`.

## What you can do

* create and list chats
* submit a turn (`POST /api/v1/completions`) without creating a chat first — omit `chatId`, upload `file` or pass `image_urls` — and receive a `runId` immediately
* poll `GET /api/v1/chats/{chatId}/runs/{runId}` until `COMPLETE`, `FAILED`, or `CANCELLED`
* call Crop Image, GPT Image 2, and Merge Videos directly
* subscribe to signed webhooks
* connect an MCP client to the same tools
